There are many ways to restart a social life but none of them are as good as using a hobby. A hobby will enable you to meet people with the same interests and similar characteristics to yourself and will give you a perfect environment to find a soul mate.
Beauty of hobby originated bonds
Hobby related meetings have a fantastic power of creating strong bonds between people. When hobbyists works towards a common goal, whatever that is, team members start to get this feeling of purposefulness and the feeling of belonging. This feeling works like glue.
Quite often hobbyists meet not only to pursue the hobby, but they would also meet socially. They like each other a lot, so why wouldn’t they? Especially that more often than not, they are of the same social classes and have similar psychological characteristics. I bet you’ve seen such groups on trips of in clubs together, sometimes so proud of what they do, they would all wear their clubs T-shirts: “City X bridge club”, “City Y Gardening enthusiasts”, “Proud members of Sports Team Z Fan Club” You must have seen them. They may cause you to raise your eyebrow sometimes, but they are having so much time together you could not imagine.
People sharing same hobbies and enjoying them together often become friends for life. Also, some of the best marriages arise when a couple is bound not only by vows and love but also by a pleasure of doing the same thing for pleasure. Hobby gives people something to talk about and be passionate about, something to share and enjoy together.
If you haven’t yet done it, use your hobby to spin-off your social life.
Don’t let yourself be put of by my T-shirt remark. Sharing a hobby with people is really fulfilling and quite quickly turns into sharing a hobby with friends.
And sharing a hobby with friends can easily turn out to sharing a hobby with a soul mate – and that is what this blog is all about!!! Love and kissing.
But but… I don’t have a hobby
Well yes – that is quite common so do not panic. The fact that you have not yet engaged in any activity simply for the pleasure of doing it does not mean you cannot start now.
All you have to do is choose a hobby and start pursuing it. Hobbies have a strong tendency to be very addictive even if in the beginning you feel a bit weird. The below questions will help you in the right direction:
- What do you like doing?
- What interest you – what articles would you read in the newspaper ?
- What did you always want to try doing but never started?
Pursuing a hobby can range anywhere from reading Jane Austin books and therefore joining her fan club, through to volunteering in a philanthropy organization, joining a dance class, up to parachuting or drag racing. Everything is out there. People team up to do practically everything. There are clubs who specialist in building rockets to launch them in the sky, chess clubs, art clubs, art critique clubs, film clubs, famous people fan clubs, dog lovers clubs, sports car clubs and all sorts of other clubs – all waiting for you to join and enjoy new interests and friends.
All you have to do is chose and join. Well.. you do not even have to chose that much. You can join a couple at once, see what’s best for you and stick with that.
And who knows… maybe in one of those hobbyist clubs, already waiting is your “The one”?
